SGA celebrates the 25th Singapore International Film Festival

Ever the proponent of the local film industry, Shooting Gallery Asia celebrates the 25th Singapore International Film Festival with our very own Yee Chang Kang collaborating with organizers to direct and produce the festival trailer. Fashioned a series of interviews with old friends of the festival, including Eric Khoo, Jack Neo et al., what Chang Kang delivered was equal parts reflective, quirky, heartwarming and inspiring. Have a look at the trailer below, and some behind-the-scenes shots …

Celebrating the Year of the Goat in latest Suntory TVC

Flower Power is back in Vietnam, and a big goat is showing us the way. Karl Von Möller directed this TV commercial for Suntory’s Tea+ campaign towards the lunar new year, or Tet as it is called locally. The clip was shot in and around Ho Chi Minh City and presents locations throughout the country, on a symbolic journey from North to South. The final eyecatcher is the giant statue all dressed up in flowers, around which the celebration for the Year of the Goat unfolds. The production was done by our team in Vietnam with a special mention for the extensive art direction, coordinated by Darren Loveday. Have a look at the clip and some behind-the-scenes pictures below…

Update on Laurent Seroussi : Latest from the French music scene

In this MTV for French singer-songwriter Renan Luce, Laurent Seroussi is playing with the old art form of the ‘trompe-l’œil’, in which paintings – traditionally on walls – create the illusion of depth and perspective. The typical budget constraints in the local music scene have been cleverly dealt with by choosing a one-shot video concept that takes us through a series of French cityscape drawings. The single shot, raw and unedited, deliberately gives an interesting peek behind the scenes when switching camera positions. Although the execution was real-time, many more hours went into the meticulously prepared set, a carefully planned timing and undoubtedly a lot of rehearsing. Kudos for Renan’s workout routine on the treadmill – without bars! – while singing and focusing on the camera… Not recommended for trying out at home.
Further to his MTV projects, Laurent has been shooting album artwork for various other artists in the French music scene. See all his recent work below, and contact us via the following link  for bookings, more info about his work or other enquiries. Laurent Seroussi is represented by us in Asia, through our regional offices.
